The 2016 Annual meeting of ISO/ Technical Committee for Bicycles/Sub-Technical Committee for Bicycles and Their Main Components (ISO/TC149/SC1) was held in Shanghai

The Annual meeting and working group of ISO/ Technical Committee for Bicycles/Sub-Technical Committee for Bicycles and Their Main Components (ISO/TC149/SC1) were held in Shanghai from May 10 to 13, 2016.

Standardization Administration of China, as a member of ISO China, hosted this meeting. China Cycling Association was the supporting unit; Shanghai Xiedjin Bicycle Technology Service Co., LTD.; Tianjin Bicycle Research Institute and Wuxi Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute were co-organizers. Representatives from France, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States and China attended the meeting. Mr. Siegfried Neuberger, President of ISO/TC149, Mr. Philippe Legrand, President of ISO/TC149/SC1, Mr. Li Qiang, Department of Consumer Products, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Mr. Ma Zhongchao, Chairman of China Cycling Association, Mr. Guo Wenyu, Deputy Director general and Secretary General of China Cycling Association and more than 60 other officials attended the meeting.

At the meeting, around ISO 4210 "Bicycle two-wheeled bicycle safety requirements", ISO 8098 "Bicycle children bicycle safety requirements" two standards revision work, ISO 8090 "bicycle terminology" standard revision, ISO /WD 4210-10 "Bicycle two-wheeled bicycle safety requirements Part 10: The formulation of safety requirements for electric power assisted bicycles and other work were actively discussed. Our city Jinlun, Fujitas and other enterprise representatives attended the meeting.

Mr. Ma Zhongchao, President of China Cycling Association, Mr. Philippe Legrand, president of ISO/TC149/SC1 and other leaders and representatives delivered speeches at the meeting. Through pragmatic, in-depth and fruitful exchanges and discussions, the meeting was completed and the 38th Annual meeting of ISO/TC149/SC1 was successfully concluded.
